Well good morning FitFam its a new dawn and a new day to work towards my goals and I definitely did so. Alarm went off at 3AM and I struggled to get out of bed. Took cold medicine last night so I think I was just too relaxed to get out of bed. I laid for about five minutes and decided to finally get up and get ready for the gym. Packed my food for the day as well as my PreWorkout (Jekyll) and my protein shake. Grabbed my gym bag and headed out the door for the gym.
Today was back and bicep day so all pulling exercises. The preworkout started to kick in as I got started with my exercises but I noticed how it didn't fully kick in which I am attributing to the fact that I have a cold that is starting to kick in and quite possibly my body is just fatigued. In any event, I still powered through my workout even though I felt a little bit weaker than I felt last week performing the same exercises. I ended my workout with a drop set of cable bicep curls and my arms were on fire. One thing I love about my routines as of late is that I try to incorporate drop sets into each workout as my final exercise so I can push myself beyond my comfort zone and make progress.
Today was also nice because I had the gym all to myself so therefore no distractions. Now as I type this my triceps are on fire from yesterday and my biceps slowly start to contract. Some call it crazy but I love this feeling. As Arnold says, "The pump is as satisfying as cumming"
Tonight I plan on doing cardio at my gym that the apartment has for about 20-30 minutes performing interval training. Tomorrow is a scheduled rest day to break up the week which is great with this bug coming on, I can rest it off before it becomes anything bigger.
