Ok today is my off day from my weightlifting sessions. I have Wednesday off to break up the week and give my body a chance to recover and sleep in for an extra hour or so.
Figured I would talk about the supplements that I am taking to aid me in my journey. First, this is not me recommending or reviewing anything mainly stating what I have been taking and how it works for me. Every person is different and therefore supplements etc work different for each person same way I feel about exercise or diet routines. cookie cutters don't work as we are all built different, have different schedules and circumstances surrounding our fitness.
First my preworkout that I am currently taking is Dr. Jekyll by ProSupps. I actually really like it. it works for me. Gives me a steady stream of energy. I am very caffeine resistent so finding a preworkout that I love to take is rare. As part of my preworkout stack I take Mutant Pump which assists in getting that "pump" feeling from weightlifting that most weightlifters crave. I like it but I am running out of that supplement soon although not sure if I will reinvest again.
I am finishing up my MuscleMilk protein which I take post workout. I am not well versed in protein requirements body needs but it calms my hunger that I get after a great weightlifting session. in my protein shake I add Mutant Creakong which is a creatine supplement that is said to fill muscle as it is broken down and repaired. I also take a One-A-Day men's multivitamin as well.
Recently ordered additional supplements to replace depleting protein and to stack with my Dr. Jekyll pre workout. First I ordered Arnold Series whey protein by MusclePharm which actually has more protein content than Muscle Milk. Then based on a recommendation on Twitter ordered Mr.Hyde by ProSupps (another preworkout) to stack with Jekyll and use 1 scoop of each prior to workout. can't wait to try it out. My early morning workouts definitely need that jump start to really get me going so I can't wait to see how I progress even more.
