Here are the initial pictures taken to start off my journey.
Well, here goes nothing. On December 1, 2013 I decided to finally take the step that I had been telling people that I was going to do. That I was going to begin my "cutting" process (for lack of a better term) where I would attempt to shed fat and reveal what muscle I gained during my attempt at a "bulk" which lasted a couple months. My attempt at a bulk, I can honestly say was not done in a very smart fashion. Basically I didn't count calories or watched what I ate or what I am sure is called a dirty bulk. Just lifted heavy weights in an attempt to gain muscle mass and figured as long as I am building mass, who cares if I gain some fat. Well the day finally came and on Sunday, 12/1/13 I woke up and knew what I had to do. It was time to step on the scale and break out the measuring tape to see what "gains" I actually did get and what was the cost (in terms of fat). To say the least, I was not happy at all. Stepped on the scale and it read 232.2lbs and measurements weren't bad but they weren't the greatest either. The most disheartening was that my waist measurement was now 39 inches when a couple months ago I was at 37.5inches. It put me in a real depressive state mainly because I knew I had purposely gained weight/fat in an attempt to build muscle but all that went out the window when I saw numbers in front of my face. For a person who struggles with obesity this is not good for the mindset. I then performed fasted cardio for 30 minutes which proved to be a challenge since I hadn't done cardio in so long and my asthma reminded me of such. Well the cardio was completed
